CSI: Miami will reportedly be receiving a visit from a friendly neighbour from Down Under this season.

Australian pop star and actress Holly Valance has signed up for a guest appearance on CSI: Miami, according to British newspaper The Mirror. Valance is best known for her four-year stint as Felicity Scully on the Australian soap opera, Neighbours.

A source told The Mirror Valance was excited to have landed the Miami role. "Holly can't believe her luck," the insider said. The actress was reportedly offered a guest part on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation earlier this year, but had to turn the role down because she was not able to organise a work permit. "She has been meeting with a lot of casting agents in LA and was delighted when she was offered the role. But she simply couldn't get the necessary paperwork done in time," a friend told Ananova at the time.

Valance is currently in the United States shooting the latest National Lampoon film, Pledge This! The movie, which also stars Paris Hilton, revolves around a sorority house at the fictional South Beach University. The actress has also launched a successful music career, with her first single, Kiss Kiss, reaching number one in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
