David Caruso Sits Down For A Q&A

By Deborah
October 15, 2006 - 4:28 AM

CSI:Miami star David Caruso recently sat down to answer a few questions about how he got involved with the show, what it’s like to work with Alliance Atlantis and Miami’s worldwide popularity.

Before CSI:Miami began, Caruso was living in Miami where he opened a small clothing business that became the butt of a few Howard Stern jokes. Then Les Moonves saw him in a small role in the movie Proof of Life and thought of him for the lead in Miami.

In his role on Miami, Caruso has had a fantastic experience working with producer Alliance Atlantis. “They are amazingly generous and absolutely committed to everything we’re doing. I would do anything to help them,” Caruso says. “They have the best promotional department in the world. We’ve all traveled for [Alliance Atlantis] throughout the world to promote the show.”

Caruso believes CSI:Miami has emerged as the most popular CSI worldwide because of the international flair of the city of Miami. “Our mission is to capture the authenticity of the city, and I think we’ve struck a chord that connects with viewers because you get the international flavor, the international feel.”
