  • The second half of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's sophomore season will be released in Australia (Region 4) on March 31, according to EzyDVD.

  • Screencaps from "XX" are now up at the William Petersen Appreciation Page.

  • William Petersen (Gil Grissom) recently competed in the SBC Classic Golf Tournament at the Valencia Country Club. "Our studios are right here, so I'm able to come over (to the club) and play a lot more than I was able to before," he told the LA Daily News.

  • Norman Cetuk, a retired police officer and arson investigator, told the Associated Press that his crime scene work bore no resemblance to the world of CSI. Here's an excerpt from the article:

    "These type of shows only highlight the glamorous aspects of the job. You don't see the everyday frustrations, limitations of working within a budget, time constraints, handling 30 to 50 cases a month, the human tragedy that as an officer or investigator you also have to deal with at a crime scene."

  • According to an Associated Press article, CBS often runs CSI: Crime Scene Investigation a few minutes too long in order to prevent viewers switching networks to NBC's ER. NBC, the report said, replies by starting ER a few minutes early.
