According to CSI Files sources, “The Lying Game” involves the murder of Robert Dempsey, owner of the extreme sports marketing company Xtreme, Inc.. Dempsey started the thriving business, then brought Steffen Cross and Jackson Resnick, two college buddies from Brown, in to run with him.

Dempsey’s cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head. He was killed in his office, but the body was disposed of in a salt mound. Mac and Danny work this case. Mac begins by questioning Dempsey’s partners, Cross and Resnick. Cross does all the talking. He claims no one would want to hurt Dempsey. Everyone loved him, he was a sports freak with no issues, dated a lot, but nothing serious. Cross last saw Dempsey the night before. Dempsey was still working when Cross left for a marketing seminar around 7:00 pm.

Danny finds Dempsey’s blood on a golf ball found in the salt mound in which Dempsey’s body was dumped. He deduces that the killer was a golfer. The golf ball is eighty compression -- the type used by a woman -- and has the words “Mattel – Closest to pin. 6/14/2006” handwritten on it. Danny traces the ball to Dana Maines, a sexy blonde athletic type. Maines admits that it’s her golf ball. She works in personnel at Mattel. But denies knowing Dempsey and doesn’t see how their paths might have crossed. Maines claims she was taking a meditation class at Shambala Meditation Center at the time of Dempsey’s murder and provides Danny with a receipt.

Meanwhile, Flack and Stella investigate the murder of transvestite Quentin Harris, an impersonator at Screaming Queens. Harris was found drowned in a hotel restroom toilet. Flack questions Congressman Eric Greene about the murder. The Congressman was present at the hotel for a Trade and Taxes banquet the night before and had a run-in with the victim. The Congressman met Harris in his female form. She was drunk and came up to his table at an event to rant about a bill he’d passed.

Stella and Flack visit Screaming Queens and speak with a fellow impersonator. They learn Harris was a rising star. Harris left Screaming Queens the night of his murder at about 8:30pm, saying he had to go meet somebody. Stella notices a curling iron backstage and realizes it matches a burn pattern found on the victim’s neck. The curling iron belongs to a Beyonce impersonator.

“Beyonce” admits to burning Harris’ neck with the curling iron, but claims it was just for a second and done because Harris couldn’t stay out of her cosmetics. Stella notices Beyonce’s watch has water inside it and takes it for evidence.

This is also the episode in which Lindsey announces a leave of absence.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

“The Lying Game” is expected to air on the 24th of January, 2007.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
