Channel Five Postpones 'Grave Danger' In Wake Of London Attacks

Earlier this week, the British Channel Five decided to postpone the CSI season finale, "Grave Danger," due to the recent terrorist attacks in London.

The decision was taken after the authorities determined the attacks were caused by suicide bombers, who took 52 lives and injured hundreds others last week. The Quentin Tarantino episode, which shows a man blowing himself to pieces, was deemed inappropriate in light of the events by the network.

"We had debated whether to air the show for several days, and had at first decided to go ahead," said a Channel Five representative. "But as new details emerged yesterday, we reconsidered and decided that it was insensitive to broadcast it after all. By the time we took the decision, there was nothing that most newspaper reviewers could do."

The network received 500 complaints for their hasty decision, which did not give newspapers and magazines the time needed to adjust their contents. Five different newspapers printed reviews of the episode that never aired. Channel Five will air "Grave Danger" next Tuesday.
