Several men are golfing at the ritzy Miami Palms Country Club on a bright Miami day when they catch sight of several teenagers approaching them. Dozens more teens approach and the crowd gathers, chanting the words, "Best of all the lost arts!" The teens toss golf balls into the air, and depart as suddenly as they've arrived. But something has been left behind: the body of a teenage boy. Horatio must find out who killed him in the new episode, "Murder in a Flash."

CSI Files sources recently revealed details about episode number three of CSI: Miami's third season. When Horatio and Calleigh arrive on the scene, Calleigh notes that the gathering of teens was most likely a "flash mob"--a chain of e-mails and text messages are sent out telling a large group of people to gather at one place and carry out what appears to be a random task; in this case, the chanting on the golf course.

The CSIs identify the victim as Danny Klein, an eighteen-year-old student at the prestigious Palm Crest Academy. They recovera golf ball with the name 'John Van Horn' written on it. Van Horn is overseas with his wife, but his son Chad is a classmate of Danny's and was at the flash mob gathering. Chad admits to being part of the mob, but says he has no idea who organized it. Horatio confiscates his cell phone.

Phillip Brooks, the headmaster of Palm Crest, is none too pleased when Horatio shows up on his doorstep. He nervously tells Horatio that the students at his school are the children of very prestigious people. Horatio notes they're not above the law, and executes a warrant for the cell phones and other electronic devices connected to the flash mob summons.

Tyler Jensen is able to determine that the summons came from the phone of a student named Justin Gillespie. Horatio sends Calleigh and Delko to question Justin, while he and Yelina go to the dorm of Sarah Mitchell, the only girl who didn't obey the flash mob summons. When they arrive at her dorm, they find her strung out on crystal meth, and in possession of a bag that not only contains crystal meth, but blood as well...

Please note that these plot details have not yet been confirmed by Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour from an unofficial source. The information comes from an early draft of the script and aspects of the episode may change before it goes to air.

"Murder in a Flash" will likely air in October 2004.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
