Actor Jon Wellner recently penned a deal to join the recurring cast of CSI next season as toxicology expert Sam Tracey.

Wellner first appeared on CSI in the episode "Unbearable", and has also guest-starred in the television series Gilmore Girls, Judging Amy, Yes, Dear, and Providence. The actor can next be seen in the Lee Eric Smith movie Grad Night alongside singer Coolio.

The actor was added to the growing number of CSI recurring characters after appearing on the show only once, according to Elyse's. Actresses Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson) and Louise Lombard (Sofia Curtis) also became regular visitors to the lab during this season.

Wellner was also one of the many cast members who attended CSI's season five wrap party earlier this month. The party featured live music by a band composed of CSI crew and cast members, most notably Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) and Robert David Hall (Dr. Al Robbins). The party was celebrated at the Hollywood Loft on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?

	All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
	It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
	Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
	These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
	They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
	Three words: Hank the Skank.
