Hello World!

"Let The Seller Beware" aired in Australia last week, and I must admit, some of the chracter interactions puzzled me. For one, Grissom seemed to be very unfriendly towards Sara at the beginning of the episode, and then we have the bookend at the end, in which he thinks he sees Sara, but he was only imagining it.

Grissom's attitude to Sara certainly wasn't explained in the episode, and didn't seem to carry on a storyline from either of the previous season three outings. The last scene seemed to indicate that he cares for Sara, to the extent that he's dreaming up images of her, but he's keeping Sara at a distance because of their professional relationship. This would gel with their first meeting in the episode, when he seems cold and distant.

I thought the B-plot, in which Sara investigates the cheerleader who was eaten, was too reminiscent of "Friends & Lovers". Both episodes dealt with friends killing each other under the influence of drugs, but this one was just a little more gruesome. Still, I felt the impact of the revelation that she was eaten by a friend was dulled by the fact that we've seen a similar storyline before.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
