  • Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson) told Contact Music she's getting tired of always playing brainy characters. "I'm always cast as an uptight geek," she said. "I never get to fire any guns, which is something I've been doing for years at a firing range in Los Angeles to help me wind down."

  • Nicole DeHuff, who appeared in the original CSI episode "Alter Boys" as Tina Kolas, passed away last month of causes related to pneumonia. According to an E! Online report, the 30-year old actress was misdiagnosed and prescribed the wrong medication. DeHuff's most famous role was in the Ben Stiller hit Meet the Parents.

  • What would Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) do if she ruled the world? "No more spin," she told the Scotsman. "I am so tired of the truth not being told. It’s so hard for me to look at the papers these days. I don’t know where to look to find something that’s not about the war or policy in the Middle East." Thanks go out to Valerie for this!

  • The JFO is replacing its old Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) news mailing list with an announcement-only list that will only be used to inform subscribers of "special events, such as contests, or (heaven forbid) Jorja getting fired again." Regular Jorja Fox news will still be presented on the JFO main page.

  • Eric Szmanda appeared on the March 10 edition of the Tony Danza Show, where the host admitted he never watches CSI.

  • Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) and his Lt. Dan Band yesterday (March 13) performed a free show the Marines, sailors and their family members stationed at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms. More information on the event can be found in the official press release from the United Service Organizations.

  • A teen burglar in Seminole, Florida told police that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had taught him how to commit crimes without leaving behind evidence. "He told us he doesn't watch it for enjoyment. He watches to learn how to commit crimes," detective Bill Sumner told the St. Petersburg Times. "He said he watches it religiously." The thief ended up breaking into more than 100 cars and several homes before finally being caught.

  • The web site of the Official CSI DVD Collection, available only in the UK and Ireland, has been updated with details of issue 7 of the magazine. Featuring Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) on the cover, the magazine includes articles on explosion forensics, revenge killings, photography equipment and human remains, as well as a DVD containing the episodes "Boom" and "To Halve and to Hold."

  • The serial killer pilot CSI writer Josh Berman is developing for Fox appears to have gained the name of Deviant Behavior. According to the Futon Critic, The O.C. actor Johnny Messner will likely land one of the lead roles on the show.

  • Cable network Spike TV has decided to not renew its contact with World Wrestling Entertainment for programs such as Raw, Heat and Velocity. According to Reuters, the network may not have enough money left for the WWE license fee after acquiring the rights to both the original CSI and CSI: New York.

  • Wil Wheaton made a post on his blog about how he felt watching last Thursday's CSI episode, in which he guest-starred as local bum Walter. "I had bruises for several days on my arms and in my ribs from struggling against the cops when they pulled me out of my cool little tent," Wheaton revealed. "Though it was on screen for about 22 seconds, it took close to two hours to shoot that sequence."

  • According to movie star and John Kerry supporter Christina Ricci, there's just one thing keeping her in the United States following the re-election of George W. Bus: American TV. "The only reason I don't want to move out of the country now that George Bush was re-elected is because I would miss American television too much - it's too big a part of my life," she confided to Contact Music. "I like all the Law & Orders. I like the CSIs, the SVUs, Cold Case, Criminal Justice, City Confidential. I also love The Apprentic."

  • Erica's CSI Caps page has been updated with no less than 404 images from last Thursday's new CSI episode, "Compulsion."

  • And the Grissom/Sara Romance Page has a set of best-of clips from "Compulsion," highlighting their favourite 'shipper moments.
