The franchise aired two new episodes, and both came out on top.

On Monday, the repeat episode of CSI: Miami (9.14 million overall viewers) took third place in the 10:00pm hour behind the National Championship Bowl Game (21.58 million) and the season premiere of Medium (9.57 million). Miami came in fourth in the vital 18-49 demographic with a 2.8 rating/5 share.

CSI: New York aired a new episode on Wednesday and narrowly maintained the top spot against Law and Order. New York pulled in 11.59 million viewers compared to Law's 11.05 million. CSI: NY also ruled the 18-49 demo for the hour with 3.5/10 to Law and Order's 3.2/9. The margin between the shows was slim, and New York's ratings were a season low for the series.

Thursday found CSI: Crime Scene Investigation dominating the 9:00pm timeslot in overall viewers but coming up short in the 18-49 demographic. CSI got 18.13 million viewers for the final episode completed before the writers' strike began. The competition, Grey's Anatomy, pulled in 17.57 million. Grey's held the number one spot in 18-49 with 7.0/17 compared to 5.0/12 for CSI.
