It's not just another day at the office for Calleigh.

According to CSI Files sources, "Stand Your Ground" opens with Calleigh walking past a line of stores, looking at the window displays after enjoying a drink or two. She makes her way to her Lexus and gets inside, rolling down the window and turning the car on. Unbeknownst to her, there is a Pontiac GTO easing up alongside her. She only becomes aware of the presence of the other car when the side mirrors clink together. She turns, annoyed, to see the barrel of a gun in her face.

The man who is holding the gun tells her to turn off her car. Trying to remain calm, Calleigh turns slowly so that she is facing forward, her hand reaching toward the keys in the ignition. But rather than turn the car off, she reaches for her gun. She pulls it out slowly, not wanting the man who has the barrel of his 9mm to her head to realize what she's doing. When he makes another demand for her to turn the car off, she whips around and points her own gun at him, announcing that she is a police officer.

The driver of the GTO speeds off, the car knocking Calleigh's gun from her hand as it roars off down the street. Calleigh gets out of her car, still badly shaken, to retrieve her gun. She picks it up from the ground and puts it away before she reaches for her cellphone. But before she can call the encounter in, she hears the roaring engine coming closer. She looks up to see the GTO heading back in her direction--straight for her. She has a decision to make. She pulls out her gun as the car speeds toward her, aiming and squeezing the trigger. The GTO swerves as the driver is shot, plowing through the storefront of a sporting goods store.

When Calleigh walks amongst the wreckage with her gun out, she sees the driver slumped over the wheel of the GTO, the horn a constant, unnerving sound. But the passenger seat is empty--the man that held a gun to her head is gone. She looks around for any sign of the man and sees nothing in the mess--and then she spots something. Her heart is in her throat when she realizes that it's a woman's hand that she sees next to the GTO's tire. Calleigh bends to reach for the hand, pulling the woman from beneath the car. She checks for a pulse but finds nothing. The woman is dead. Calleigh can't believe what is happening. What has she done?

Horatio and Sgt Tripp make their way to the scene. Calleigh waits with an ambulance while they start the process of figuring out just what happened here. Ryan arrives and he and Horatio look inside of the car. There is a box of candies in the backseat. Ryan looks in the dead woman's purse and finds her wallet. He identifies her as Valerie Gaynor, a middle school teacher.

Blood in the car leads the team to their gun-wielding passenger, but he tells them that Calleigh fired unnecessarily and that he wants to file a lawsuit against her. Rick Stetler is forced to look into Calleigh's conduct, particularly when it is learned that she had consumed alcohol prior to the incident. Alexx's findings in Valerie's autopsy might ease Calleigh's mind, but they bring to mind even more questions--particularly, what is Valerie's connection to drugs, and does it have anything to do with the children at her middle school? As the CSI team digs deeper, they find that there is more to this story than mere coincidence.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
