  • CSI: Miami has received a nomination for Best New Show in AOL's Third Annual TV Viewer Awards, Media Post reported. Its competition includes American Dreams, 8 Simple Rules..., Everwood and What I Like About You. Only AOL members can vote at AOL Keyword: TV Awards.

  • Matt Roush at TV Guide was recently taken to task by a fan of Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows). "You described Marg Helgenberger's role on CSI as not worthy of an Emmy award. I was surprised and shocked by your description of Catherine Willows," the fan said wrote. Roush's response, in which he said Helgenberger has a "terrific presence", can be found here.

  • The Sydney Morning Herald has reviewed CSI: Miami's "Just One Kiss", which airs in Australia tonight. This is what the paper had to say:

    In fact, there's lots of peering through microscopes and spectrometry, for this unnecessary spin-off from the far better assembled CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is comfortable with forensic gear, though it doesn't offer anything different in the way of stories and simply fills another hour.

  • Zap2it has posted a round-up article of all the previously reported comments made by the CSI and CSI: Miami executive producers at the recent Television Critics Association press tour.

  • CBS Entertainment's Robert Zotnowski, who oversees the production of CSI and CSI: Miami, has been promoted to vice-president of current programs, according to Media Daily News.

  • Fred Shuster at the Long Beach Press Telegram has written an editorial looking at the public's fascination with procedural crime dramas, including CSI and Law & Order.
