The franchise offers two new episodes, but the third series is preempted for political coverage.

A savage double murder in the Everglades pits Horatio and the team against the brute force of Miami's Russian mob.

The second episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's ninth season airs Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT. One suspect urges people to find "The Happy Place":

A hypnotist who uses her powers of persuasion to rob banks becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation.

This is Nathan Hope's first time directing CSI, but he has previously worked as a director of photography for the series. Sarah Goldfinger has written 22 previous episodes of CSI, including last season's "You Kill Me".

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
