Hello World!

This crazy, crazy weather is really starting to get tired.

First of all, if you live in Florida, please be careful. If they tell you to evacuate, do it! No house is worth the life of a person. The majority of people who die here when a hurricane comes die due to circumstances completely unrelated to the hurricane itself (they go outside and step on something they shouldn't and suddenly they're bacon, etc). I know I'm, like, the last person who should be giving advice on this, but put the cameras and surf boards away and be safe. Photography is cool, but no one is going to care about your pictures if you're dead, except maybe to go, "this girl caught a nice shot of a flying piece of roof... right before it split her in half." And I know those waves are cool, I myself fight the urge to ride them, but there's plenty of good waves during the rest of the years, dudes.

It's been raining a lot here recently. So much that I actually started building an arc. I live in Puerto Rico, so I'm afraid that only my family, two of every species of mosquitoes, and I will be able to survive. Hopefully, some good looking family in Greenland is doing the same so we can re-populate the Earth... until the mosquitoes take over.

CSI Files Two Years Ago

Here's what was hot back in July of 2003:

  • Heidi Klum To Strut Her Stuff In 'Miami'
Supermodel Heidi Klum guest starred as herself in the Miami episode "Blood Brothers." In the episode, the model talked about her upcoming acting gigs while a murder occurred just outside the club.

  • Bruckheimer Empire To Expand
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer two years ago was having a hard time trying to balance out the workload from all his shows and movies. "I'm switching gears here," he told USA Today. "All weekend, we did a junket for Pirates of the Caribbean. I did about 120 interviews. And we were up almost half the night trying to do the sound for it. So, I'm (still) listening to cannons going off." The producer might feel the same way when the second part of the famous movie hits theatres soon.

  • Seven Emmy Nominations For 'CSI' Franchise
The CSI shows received seven Emmy nominations, including Best Drama for CSI and Best Actress for Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows). Miami snagged one of the nominations for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series.

Poll Results

Below are the results of the most recent CSI Files poll:

They're the dynamic duo of crime scene investigation. Ying and yang. Tracy and Hepburn. And they solve their cases in less than 48 minutes. Name that wonder pair.
Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows 68.2% - (792 Votes)
Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera 16.7% - (194 Votes)
Horatio Caine and Calleigh Duquesne 15% - (174 Votes)

Total Votes: 1160

,Thank you for voting in our last poll! Next up, which two shows would you like to see come together?,

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.

  • Tonight, CBS will air a repeat of the CSI: Miami episode, "Speed Kills". Here's a brief description of the episode:

"Richard Laken is found killed by a tire iron outside a lounge following an evening of speed-dating. The team discovers his car is covered with acetone, which traces back to one of the female guests. She reveals that she dated Laken and he dumped her, so she doused his car with nail polish remover for revenge, but she didn't kill him. Now, when Horatio and the team learn that Laken recently witnessed a serious assault at a Miami Heat basketball game, they are on the hunt for two perps instead of one."

  • On Wednesday night at 10/9c, CBS will air CSI: New York's "The Fall". Here's a preview:

"When young gang members murder the owner of an upscale Bronx wine store, the CSIs must work to find evidence that ultimately ties someone to the crime. Before dying, the store owner makes a statement to police identifying his attackers as young gang members. Tempers flare when the murder investigation reunites Detective Flack with his long-time mentor and friend Sergeant Gavin Moran, who was the first to arrive at the crime scene. Meanwhile, Danny and Aiden investigate the death of an influential movie producer found dead on the canopy of his Chelsea apartment building."

  • Another one of CSI's syndicated episodes will also air on Thursday night at 9/8c. Here's a description of "Big Middle":

"Grissom and his team search for a murderer at a convention for plus-sized people. When the evidence suggests the victim died from asphyxia due to a large object on his chest, Grissom and his team track the killer to an APAPSP convention, "Association to Promote Acceptance of Plus-Sized People." Meanwhile, a large sum of cash and betting slips are found near a dead body on the outskirts of Vegas, leading Catherine's team into the world of high-stakes gambling."
