Greetings From 'CSI'

Let's make a deal.

Hallmark has signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products. The deal will give Hallmark access to more than 150 properties in the CBS television library. The Beverly Hillbillies and Happy Days are among the titles that fall under the agreement.

Hallmark has already used shows like CSI: Miami for greeting cards. The licensing deal will allow the company to make cards as well as party goods, collectibles and other gifts, such as holiday ornaments. "There is an emotional connection with these shows," Liz Kalodner, executive VP and GM of CBS Consumer Products, New York, told The Hollywood Reporter, "and there's nothing more emotional than having your brand used as a social expression."

The CBS television shows and characters have been placed in a group called Television City, and there is a logo that will appear on any Hallmark products. Television City shows are also being licensed for use in other categories, including board games and clothing. The licensing deal will be announced this week.
