CBS Monday premiered the promo video for next week Miami's new episode "Whacked."

In this penultimate episode of the season, fan axe murderer on death row is given a stay of execution just moments before it was to take place, on the grounds that there may have been tainted DNA analysis used at his trial. Now, without using any DNA evidence, the team must race against time and reexamine all of the physical evidence in the case, just as they get a call on a new double murder that looks suspiciously like the case they're working on. "Whacked" was written by veterans Ann Donahue and Elizabeth Devine, and directed by Scott Lautanen.

CBS MONDAY

Kramer: "I get this weight on me."

[Horatio watches through the bars of a cell as Ken Kramer (guest-star Eric Roberts sits in his cell.]

[Close-up of Kramer as he addresses Horatio.]

Kramer: "When I do a kill, I feel lighter."

[Close-up of an axe as someone carries it down a wooded area.]

[Flashback: A blonde woman is grabbed by the hair and shoved to the floor.]

[Horatio watches Kramer intently.]

[Kramer is not intimidated.]

[Flashback: A man swings a knife forward.]

[The knife lands on a white sheet.]

[An axe lays suspended in the air before it drops.]

[Close-up of Kramer.]

AN AXE MURDERER ESCAPES A DEATH SENTENCE

[Kramer sits in his cell and watches Horatio calmly.]

[Horatio looks at him, just as calmed. Both men are trying to appear nonchalant.]

[Kramer laughs as he points at Horatio.]

[Ryan and Calleigh walk down the lab's hallway.]

Ryan: "Our DNA lab screwed up."

[An axe swings down.]

[Delko examines the bloody head of an axe closely.]

[A computer magnifies on a gray substance. Yellow eggs are visible.]

[The camera zooms in on Ryan as he works in front of a microscope.]

[Close-up of Calleigh as she looks closely at something.]

[Horatio approaches the crime scene, hands on his hips.]

[Close-up of Horatio.]

Horatio: "We're looking for two different people. And his partner is not done yet."

[Close up on a man's shoes as he walks down a rustic site.]

[An axe swings next to his legs.]

[Close-up of Ryan.]

Ryan: "His crimes are getting personal."

[Flashback: A woman lays on the floor, crying. Masking tape covers her mouth.]

Calleigh: "They're escalating."

[A puddle of blood forms by someone's head. Blonde hair swims in the substance.]

[In a place full of billiard tables, Horatio watches as a man walks away.]

Horatio: "Miami-Dade Police!]

[Kramer addresses Horatio.]

Kramer: "Stick around for a little surprise."

[Horatio looks intimidated.]
