  • President George W Bush presented a Presidential Citizen Medal to CSI: New York's Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor). The White House called Sinise a humanitarian and a patriot. "I'm deeply touched to receive this medal," Sinise said. (Source: The Associated Press)

  • The upcoming CSI: Miami episode "Tipping Point" will feature a piece of technology called the T-Ray 4000. The machine uses tetrahertz wavelengths to create a 3D image of what lies below the surface of an object. Richard Kurtz, chairman and CEO of Advanced Photonix Inc, said he isn't concerned about how Miami portrays the technology. "Perhaps they'll take literary license," he told MLive.com. "They're trying to make it so people can easily understand technology, God bless 'em for it, it is difficult to explain."

  • CSI Files previously reported that former Battlestar Galactica writer Bradley Thompson (and writing partner David Weddle) made the switch to the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation writing team. However, Thompson revisited his Galactica days when he got married earlier this month. Edward James Olmos (Battlestar's Admiral Adama) officiated, and the ceremony ended with an enthusiastic "So say we all!" (Source)

  • Actor De'Angelo Wilson, who appeared in the CSI: NY episode "Outside Man" during the show's first season, was recently found dead in Los Angeles due to an apparent suicide.

  • Spoilers ahead!

According to TV Guide's Mega Buzz, New York executive producer Peter Lenkov said the show has a lot in store for its characters, including Mac and Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes). Lenkov promised "more intense character drama, as well as our trademark 'only in New York' stories. We'll continue Stella's pursuit of the man who tried to kill her and introduce a new nemesis for Mac, a media mogul played by Craig T. Nelson." Lenkov also said CSI: NY will "revisit" the chemistry between fellow detectives Don Flack (Eddie Cahill) and Jessica Angell (Emmanuelle Vaugier), but he wasn't so sure about possible sparks between Stella and lab geek Adam Ross (AJ Buckley). Lenkov said the two "play nice together", but he's "not sure there's a romance there."

  • In casting scoop for New York, Dancing with the Stars professional Edyta Sliwinska will guest-star in an upcoming episode. "I'm playing a dance teacher and I'm one of the suspects," she told Access Hollywood. "I am suspected to be a murderer to kill a guy and chop him into pieces."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
