CSI: Miami's Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) will move to a new network when he joins the cast of the ABC series Ugly Betty for a recurring role this fall.

As CSI Files previously reported, Rodriguez will be saying goodbye to Miami during season eight. He will still be around to film episodes of the forensic drama, but he won't be on the series full time. Rodriguez will appear in at least five episodes of Ugly Betty, and the role will likely be extended.

TV Guide reports that Rodriguez will play Bobby, a character with connections to Betty's sister Hilda. "He's an old high school boyfriend, and [he comes] back into their lives," Rodriguez explained. "A little romance buds, and there's some drama to go along with it."

The actor did not reveal whether his character would get involved with Betty or Hilda. "Maybe a little bit of both," Rodriguez teased. "We'll see how it turns out, but it's going to be a lot of fun and it's really funny."
