Blood is thicker than water.

According to CSI Files sources, the fourth episode of CSI: Miami's seventh season will be called "Raging Cannibal". The episode opens in the Everglades. Daniel Cranston is making his way through the brush. A beautiful woman, Kaylee Westmore, follows behind him. She wants to know where he's taking her. He says it's a perfect spot.

Daniel takes Kaylee's hand and leads her past some shady trees toward the edge of a lagoon. She pulls him into a kiss and agrees--this is definitely a perfect spot. Daniel reaches into the water and pulls on a cable. Soon, a canister emerges from the water. These two are here to take ecological readings, not to fool around.

Well, they might be able to do both. Daniel tells her about the data he is collecting with the canister and how important his work is--she is clearly impressed. She starts to get close, but they are interrupted by the sound of a branch breaking as if someone--or something--has stepped on it.

Daniel says it might be a black panther, and Kaylee is nervous. He goes to investigate, but he doesn't see anything. When he turns back to tell her it's gone, a shape lurches from the brush. A bloodied man staggers into Daniel and knocks him down, falling on top of him. Staring up at the man's bloody face, Daniel panics. Kaylee rushes to push the man off, and they watch in horror as he tries to breathe and then falls still. It's time to get out of here and call the police.

Horatio and Tripp question the two witnesses. Daniel says that he is the only one authorized to be on this protected land. There's no reason for their victim to be out here in the first place. Except, of course, that it's the perfect place for a murder.

Calleigh and Ryan follow the obvious trail of blood, hoping to find where their victim was stabbed. Meanwhile, Dr Price performs an autopsy and determines that the man, Vince Hyatt, was stabbed with a blunt tip knife. She empties Hyatt's stomach contents and discovers something grisly: a chunk of human flesh, marked with a spider web tattoo.

A broken sensor is found wedged in Hyatt's shoe, suggesting that he stepped on one of Daniel Cranston's water sensors and took part of it with him. Daniel is able to lead Calleigh to the sensor in question, and she locates their primary crime scene. Tripp and Dr Price join her. She has found the murder weapon--and a second victim. Peter Brodsky's body is sprawled on the ground, a chunk missing from his neck. Dr Price can see the rest of the spider web tattoo on the surrounding flesh. Hyatt bit this man and severed his carotid artery--but who stabbed Hyatt?

Tattoos on Brodsky's body suggest that he was involved with the Russian mob. The team is led to the Aegis Boxing Club, where they meet some brutal fighters--and more tell-tale tattoos. The members of the club aren't talking, but the murder weapon might be. A fingerprint on the knife leads the team to a sporting goods store. The man behind the counter, Greg Donner, explains that he got his print on the knife when he sold it to a woman that morning.

The woman gave Greg her name and phone number, and the team is able to trace her credit cards. She's Sophia Black, Peter Brodsky's girlfriend. They find her leaving a travel agency with a plane ticket to Bermuda.
