CSI: New York and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation are both set to air new episodes this week.

In the Big Apple's "Recycling", scheduled to air at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, the team find themselves handling two very different cases, according to a synopsis at the Futon Critic:

Competitive dog owners become the prime suspects in a murder investigation when Mac examines the murder of a dog trainer. Meanwhile, Stella and Danny track the killer of a bike messenger who collapsed on the streets of Manhattan after being stabbed during rush hour traffic. The team hits a road block when they must find the crime scene within a 4.8 mile delivery route.

The episode was helmed by first-time CSI director Alex Zakrzewski, who previously directed episodes of Boomtown, The Wire and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. "Recycling" was penned by co-producer Timothy J. Lea and Zachary Reiter, formerly a writer on Jerry Bruckheimer's Skin.

When a dead baby rattlesnake is found in the throat of a decapitated female head, the CSIs are thrust into the dangerous world of narcocorrido, a Mexican music/lifestyle underworld that glamorizes violence and brutality. Meanwhile, a body is found in the front seat of a handicapped van in a casino parking structure where Sofia and Greg find evidence that the shooter may have been confined to a wheelchair.

"Snakes" will guest star the following actors:

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
