Mac Gets A Pay Raise

Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) has penned a new deal for CSI: New York.

Sinise has been on New York since it began in 2004. This week, he signed a new deal with CBS/Paramount. The deal extended his contract through the 2010-2011 year, which will be the show's seventh season. Previously, Sinise had only been signed through the spring of 2010.

The deal also gave Sinise a pay raise. In exchange for the extra year, the actor will now earn upwards of $200,000 for each episode of the show. That adds up to nearly $5 million dollars per 24-episode season.

Sinise's new contract keeps him around for several more years despite the fact that CSI: NY has not technically been renewed past the current season. However, the show's strong ratings and its production by CBS/Paramount make it likely that New York will be picked up at least one more time. The 2008-2009 season, which will be the show's fifth, is pretty much guaranteed.

Sinise's contract was dealt with quietly. His CSI: NY co-star, Melina Kanakaredes (Stella Bonasera), is currently in negotiations for her own contract. No deal has been set for her at this point.
