CBS recently released the trailer for this week's instalment of CSI: New York, entitled "Recycling".

The episode, which revolves around the hyper-competitive world of dog shows, sees Mac and Aiden sniffing out clues that will lead them to the killer of animal handler Elaine Curtis. Meanwhile, Stella and Danny investigate the murder of Big Apple delivery man Michael Starling.

CBS WEDNESDAY

[Mac Taylor looks up towards the camera.]

[Text: 'Wednesday']

[Close-up of Michael Starling as he cycles quickly downtown.]

SOMEONE IN NEW YORK NEVER HEARD THE PHRASE

[The camera follows Michael's back while he darts through the streets.]

[He negotiates his way between the cars and the sidewalk.]

[Michael continues to pedal, going right past the camera.]

[Close-up of a man's hand emerging from a coat pocket.]

[The hand aims a gun.]

[Michael whizzes past on his bike.]

DON'T KILL THE MESSENGER

[The words 'Don't Kill The Messenger' flash up one by one on black screens.]

[Stella rushes towards the crime scene.]

[As she hurries, she's almost knocked over by Michael on his bike.]

Stella: "Son of a..."

[Out of control, Michael collides with a crowd of pedestrians.]

[Michael crashes his bike into a pile of boxes outside a store.]

AND

[Overhead shot of a dog show taking place in the arena.]

IN THE BIG APPLE'S BIGGEST DOG SHOW

[Mid shot of the proud dog owners walking their pooches.]

[The MC stands on the podium, overseeing the ceremony.]

[The organiser of the dog show explains things to Mac.]

Organiser: "These animals are athletes."

[Mac looks skeptical.]

[Alvin Malbert harasses Mac.]

Alvin: "Look at my dog."

[Mac looks down.]

[The dog looks a little depressed.]

Alvin: "He's almost in tears."

[Close-up of the dog whimpering.]

SOME PEOPLE WILL DO ANYTHING TO WIN

[The shot suddenly expands to reveal Alvin, wearing only his underwear, on a dog leash held by Elaine Curtis who is sitting on the bed.]

[Elaine suddenly tugs on the leash, and Alvin jerks forward onto the bed.]

[Alvin bites Elaine on the leg.]

[Mac examine's Elaine's leg and makes a dry observation.]

Mac: "These are no canine's canines."

EVEN MURDER

[Black and white flashback: Elaine collapses backstage at the dog show.]

[Close-up of another dog owner, shocked at what she's seeing.]

[Mac, wearing his white lab coat, is back at the lab.]

Mac: "Somebody really knew what they were doing."

[Overhead shot of Mac approaching Elaine's body as she lies in a pool of blood.]

[Stella talks to Mac.]

Stella: "Some days you're the dog..."

[She takes some money off him in a self-satisfied manner.]

Stella: "...some days you're the hydrant."
