Synopses, creative staff and guest cast listings for CSI: Miami's "Slow Burn" and CSI's "Paper or Plastic?" are available courtesy of TV Guide and Yahoo! TV.

CSI: Miami: "Slow Burn"

Written by Shane Brennan and Michael Ostrowski

Directed by Joe Chappelle

Supervising producer Shane Brennan has written for the television shows Stingers and State Coroner, while Michael Ostrowski has written for the television show The District. Producer Joe Chappelle has directed episodes of The Wire and Witchblade.

Here is TV Guide's description of the episode:

Delko and Alexx are nearly burned alive when they investigate the death of a hunter found shot near a supposedly controlled burn in the Everglades. The fire suddenly rages out of control and traps them. Later, a second body is discovered, and this time it's a young woman who looks to have been beaten to death.

"Slow Burn" includes the following guest stars:

  • Boti Ann Bliss as Valera
  • Rex Linn as Detective Frank Tripp
  • Keith Diamond (Navy NCIS, Charmed)
  • Greg Travis (Showgirls, Starship Troopers)
  • Harold Sylvester (Married...with Children, City of Angels)
  • Doug Hutchinson (Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving)

CSI: Crime Scene Investigations: "Paper or Plastic?"

    Written by Naren Shankar

    Directed by Ken Fink

Co-executive producer Naren Shankar co-wrote the episodes "Fight Night" and "Lady Heather's Box". Producer Ken Fink directed "The Execution of Catherine Willows" and "Got Murder?".

Here is a TV Guide description of the episode:

Grissom confronts a nemesis on the police force when he probes an officer's role in a shooting spree inside a small grocery store that left five people dead. The same cop had threatened Grissom after Gil investigated LVPD involvement in a homicide. In the current case, the officer claims he gunned down two robbers and shot at a third masked suspect, but there is no evidence that a third thief was present. There is evidence, however, that a bullet from the cop's gun killed an innocent shopper.

"Paper or Plastic?" features the following guest actors:

    • David Andrews as Officer David Fromansky (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Hannibal)
    • David Berman as David Phillips
    • Joseph Patrick Kelly as Officer Metcalf
    • Skip O'Brien as Detective Ray O'Riley
    • Wallace Langham as David Hodges
    • Derk Cheetwood (General Hospital, Frailty)
    • Brooks Almy (Fraiser, Navy NCIS)
    • Michael Earl Reid (Nash Bridges, Roswell)
    • T.J. Thyne (Angel, What Women Want)
    • Jamie Brown (The Shield, CSI: Miami)

    • Nichole Lennstrom (Girls Behaving Badly, Fatal Kiss)
    • Michael Landes (Final Destination 2, Special Unit 2)
    • Joe Maruzzo (Crossing Jordan, The Sopranos)

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
