  • Zap2It reports that last night's repeat of CSI: Miami's "Pro Per" achieved a 10.8/17 rating, which made it the top show of the hour, narrowly beating the second hour of ABC's Monday Night Football. For the full night, ABC was able to beat CBS.

  • The William Petersen Appreciation Page has posted the first images from this week's CSI outing, "No Humans Involved" and the upcoming "Who Shot Sherlock Holmes?".

  • Screencaps of Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) in Alchemy can be found at JorjaFox.net.

  • TV Guide critic Matt Roush has become the latest television reviewer sound off at CSI: New York's dark atmosphere. Here's an extract from his editorial:

Sadly, no one's the life of the deadly party on CSI: NY. A weary, sour glumness saturates this dark-hued show. As the steely leader, a former Marine and 9/11 widower, Gary Sinise glowers moodily, and his monotony is contagious.

  • UbiSoft and Aspyr Media yesterday announced in a press release that the Macintosh version of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation computer game has been shipped to stores.

  • According to a Broadcasting & Cable article, CSI: Miami will be syndicated in 80 percent of the United States from fall 2006. Distributor King World Productions will send two Miami episodes a week to participating stations.

  • Kenneth B. Lourie from Connection Newspapers has announced he's been CSI'd to Death. Lourie said the latest instalment in the forensic franchise, CSI: New York, is simply one CSI too many. "The characters are always investigating a crime scene where someone has died — or disappeared — and their task, through the collection of evidence, is to figure out who, what, where, when and how."

  • IGN-Xbox has a preview of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for Xbox, which is in fact simply a combination of the first CSI PC game and its sequel, CSI: Dark Motives.

  • Fancy a dose of murder with your turkey? Britain's Channel 5 has scheduled an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on Christmas Day, according to Media Week.

  • According to the Hollywood Reporter, CSI was one of the top five TV shows recorded on DVD recorders during a CBS test. The other four were Desperate Housewives, Las Vegas, Joey and Lost.

  • NBC president of entertainment Kevin Reilly recently told USA Today he's not worried about Law & Order's declining ratings this season, pointing out that the margin between it and CSI: New York is a narrow one. "As much as CSI is impacting Law & Order, we're impacting CSI: NY," he said. "The sounding of alarm bells is way premature."

  • Karyn L. Barr at Entertainment Weekly has posted her weekly CSI episode review, but as two of the three CSI episodes airing over the past seven days were repeats, the only new episode she examines is New York's "Officer Blue," which she awarded with a C. "Though Stella's newfound spunk was a delicious treat," Barr wrote in her full review, "New York still needs to unravel the secret to making a crime captivating." The repeats of CSI's "Viva Las Vegas" and Miami's "Pro Per" ended up with an A- and a B, respectively.

  • Television Without Pity's 'Sobell' has posted her full recap of the most recent new CSI episode, "Mea Culpa." Sobell awarded the episode a B, and had this to say about the format changes presented: "I think this shakes things up nicely, but I don't see the split being permanent, as there's plenty of material to oust Ecklie and undo his work by May sweeps. And then, we can begin Season Six with Gil in the shower, walking out to tell [fill in person of your choice],'I just had the strangest dream...'"

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
