Some crimes happen in broad daylight.

According to CSI Files sources, the eighth episode of CSI: Miami's seventh season, and the 150th episode of the series since it began, will be called "Gone Baby Gone". It starts in a high-end, waterfront mall. A woman, Jill Walsh, is carrying a crying baby. She tries to shush the little girl, but the crying gets louder. Now people are starting to look their way.

A couple hurries forward, yelling for someone to stop Jill. They claim that she stole their baby, and the two women fight over the child. The bouncer from a nearby café rushes out and grabs Jill, restraining her and saying he won't let her go until the police arrive. Meanwhile, the couple rushes away with the baby.

An FBI agent calls Horatio to the scene. It turns out Jill is the baby's mother, and the couple who called her a kidnapper were the real criminals. The agent wants to use Horatio's team to find the baby. He tells them that they have a four-hour window--if they don't find little Sophie within that four hours, they won't find her at all.

The FBI sets up equipment in the Walsh home, and Calleigh sits with Jill while Delko and Horatio explain what's going on to Jill's husband Stuart and son Keith. If a ransom call is made, they'll be able to track the caller. When the phone rings, everybody freezes. Stuart answers, and the voice on the other end demands $500,000 in exchange for the baby and says they'll call back with a location. The kidnapper hangs up before they can trace the call.

Jill wants to give the kidnappers the money out of the family safe, but the team insists that it's a bad idea--if they give the kidnappers the money, they have no reason to keep the baby alive. The CSIs want to find the baby their way. Natalia and Ryan locate the overalls Sophie was wearing when she was kidnapped. The kidnappers changed her clothes, which indicates that they plan to keep the baby alive.

Natalia is able to get a tiny amount of DNA from the overalls, but she has to use a process called amplification to get a big enough sample to run through their databases. She gets a hit on Marty Stanton, and they confirm with Jill that it's the man that took Sophie. Horatio and Delko rush to Marty's house and storm inside. They find no sign of the baby, but they find a crime scene: Marty has been shot. It seems his accomplice didn't want to share the ransom, so she took his life and then took the baby.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"Gone Baby Gone" is expected to air November 17 on CBS.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
