Can we talk about how much I hate Daylight Savings Time? No? Well, I'm still going to.
First of all, we don't have DST here (I nearly typed STD there, hello!), so that means we're an hour ahead of the East Coast now. And we don't have CBS, NBC, et al, television stations in the island, which means all my shows now air an hour later than usual! Miami and New York were late enough, and now they're airing at 11 pm. So cruel. Now I have to determine which episodes will be good and which ones won't so I'll know if I should stay up or miss them. People keep telling me to buy TiVo, but I'm sorry, I refuse to trust computers that think. Yeah, they're great and everything, but one day you wake up and they're wearing your underwear and just... creepy. I don't trust machines that somehow "know" all my favorite shows.
Of course, they're talking about making DST (again with the STD) a permanent change by 2007. No! CSI at 11 pm forever, I can't handle it. Of course, I'll still watch, cause I'm sick. Sick, I tell ya! I've been Zuikered but good.
Oh, did you really think I was going to go on and on about the socioeconomic ramifications of DST and all that hooplah? Obviously, you don't know me too well. But for the political and debate fanatics out there, pros: the extension of Daylight Saving Time in 2007 will reportedly save 300,000 barrels of oil annually. Cons: CSI: Miami at 11 pm is just cruel. Think about it, America.

This Week On TV
Tonight at 10:00pm, CSI: Miami returns with the episode "Felony Flight." Here's spooky scoop on this exciting Miami/New York crossover:
"Henry Darius, a convicted serial killer, confesses to an unsolved murder and is flown from New York to Miami to show the police exactly where he buried the body. However, as the plane flies into Miami, it crashes and Darius escapes. Now, as Darius begins a Miami killing spree, New York's Det. Mac Taylor, who put Darius away the first time, comes to help Horatio and the team track Darius down before he kills again."
The conclusion of that episode will air two days later on CSI: New York's"Manhattan Manhunt," on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. CBS describes the episode as follows:
"After escaping capture in Miami, serial killer Henry Darius travels to New York with a college student as his hostage in order to steal millions from her family's vault. Upon arriving, Darius kills a group of students in cold blood and leaves clues specifically for Mac of his whereabouts. Meanwhile, while in NY to assist on a case, Horatio is served with a subpoena when the newly appointed DA names him a suspect in an old murder case."
"A routine traffic stop turns into a wild police chase through the streets of Las Vegas, resulting in the death of a police officer. When all is finished, the crime scene stretches for miles and the CSIs face an avalanche of ballistic evidence in order to find the real killer of the police officer who died on the scene. Grissom fears the officer may have been the victim of "friendly fire" and not the drug criminals they were chasing."
In addition to the above episodes on CBS, cable channel SpikeTV will of course continue its daily CSI repeats.
