  • On her first day on the CSI: Miami set, new series star Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) passed a message to the webmasters of her official web site, saying that everyone on the set was "so wonderful and helpful," and that she was looking forward to her first scene with David Caruso (Horatio Caine) a day later. Meanwhile, a week before the official announcement, the actress herself posted a message on her site, saying that she couldn't reveal for which show she had been hired, but saying it was a "HUGE break" and she was "SOOOOO EXITED!!!!"

  • A Vancouver Sun article on video game developers who insert their own likeness in their computer games reveals that one of the characters in the CSI: Miami computer game, a burly Cuban-born bouncer and nightclub owner named Enrique, is actually based on mild-mannered IT technician Eric Legaspi. He ended up in the game after being the highest bidder in an auction for the Radical Foundation, an in-house organization at the game's developer that raises money for charities.

  • The farewell message posted by Sofia Milos (Yelina Salas) on her official web site has changed. Whereas previously, the site featured a statement confirming her departure and saying that a possible future return to the show depended on "how much she is needed by Horatio Cane and her fans," this has now been replaced with a note stating that many fans "have wondered whether Det. Yelina Salas was coming back for season four of CSI: Miami or whether she was staying in Brazil with her husband Ray. Not all the facts about her role on CSI have been properly reported yet. Please be patient, details forthcoming as they are being decided." The change may be connected to Miami showrunner Ann Donahue recently stating that Yelina Salas might return several years in the future, along with a grown-up Ray Jr (story).

  • According to Arizona radio station KJZZ, Maricopa County attorney Andrew Thomas wants the major television networks to place disclaimers on-screen prior to programs such as CSI and Law and Order, to prevent juries from being influenced by these kinds of shows and acquitting more defendants.

  • Where do you go if you need several tons of white sand in a hurry? When the producers of CSI: Miami needed that for a late second-season episode, they turned to Marine Depot in Anaheim, now profiled by the OC Register.

  • Back in April, CSI: Miami star David Caruso (Horatio Caine) commented on the death of Pope John Paul II, according to an Entertainment Tonight article dug out by DavidCarusoFans.com. "His commitment to the papacy was unbelievable," Caruso said.

  • Dutch magazine Glossy features a six-page article on the Santa Monica home of Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) and her husband Alan Rosenberg.

  • JustAdam.net has posted photos of Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) and the other Miami cast attending the 2003 People's Choice Awards.

  • The JFO has new photos of Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) attending the 2005 SAG Awards.

  • FandomTalk has a new recap of the third CSI: New York episode, "American Dreamers."

  • Jerry Bruckheimer is continuing the strategy that worked so well on CSI, to launch new shows by casting veteran film actors in the lead roles. The Orlando Sentinel takes a look at E-Ring, starring Dennis Hopper, and Just Legal, starring Don Johnson.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
