Roswell's Brendan Fehr Cast On 'CSI: Miami'

Brendan Fehr, who starred for three years as Michael Guerin on the WB (and later UPN) show Roswell, announced last week he has been hired for a recurring role on CSI: Miami.

"I am writing to let everyone who cares [...] that I have taken a recurring gig on CSI:Miami as the new A/V Tech [...] Dan Cooper," Fehr wrote on his official site. "I've shot the first 2 episodes of the season and am scheduled to do the 3rd. It's just a recurring gig, one or two scenes a show, every couple or 3, 4 shows."

Fehr was born in 1977 in New Westminster, Canada, and thought he was going to be a teacher until, only a few days before starting at the University of Manitoba, he decided to pursue his real dream and try to make it as an actor. He landed guest roles on shows such as Millennium, Night Man and The New Addams Family, before being cast as the human/alien hybrid on science-fiction show Roswell. During that show's final seaon, he worked together with Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko), who played a young attorney who eventually ended up marrying one of the show's main characters. On meeting Adam again on the CSI: Miami set, Fehr wrote the two "had a nice talk since we haven't in a while."

Dan Cooper is one of several new recurring characters that will be appearing on CSI: Miami next season. As was recently reported, viewers will meet both Horatio Caine's former priest and his ex-wife as part of a major story arc involving the Miami lead character. In addition, Eva LaRue was recently cast as new series regular Natalia Boa Vista (story). According to Fehr's web site, the actor was pleased he did not have to make a similar long-term commitment to Miami. "It's actually a really sweet gig in terms of the show, the quality and the amount of time required of me," he wrote. "I can still pursue movies and films since it's just episode by episode contract."
