  • Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) recently participated in Canada's Live 8, a beneficiary concert held to help eliminate the debts of the world's poorest countries, specifically the countries in Africa. 9 other concerts were held around the globe. In addition, Dourdan will contribute to rapper DMC's first solo album, which will debut in September. The songs in the album pay homage to DMC's musical influences, such as Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin and Jimi Hendrix.

  • The 15th issue of the CSI: The Official DVD Collection will be available soon. The issue includes a special look into road rage, and the episodes "Alter Boys" and "Caged." Back issues can be ordered through the UK website.

  • Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) and Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer) recently visited Caracas, Venezuela, to promote their respective shows, Miami and New York. Images of the actors' luncheon with the press can be found at Just Adam.net

  • According to the July 3rd issue of TV Guide (via Elyse), CSI is one of the magazine's "Best Bets for Summer," as the staff can't get enough of its reruns. "If Grissom's gang shows me the crime, I'll do the TV time."

  • The crime show The Inside, which was compared to CSI on numerous occasions, is faltering in the summer's ratings battle. Co-creator and executive producer Tim Minear is sure the show won't make it to season 2. "On Thursday they needed to extend their options on the cast and decided not to. Considering it would have been chump change for them, it basically means we're done."

  • Minear also denied the show takes after CSI, and maintains The Inside is Silence of the Lambs for TV. "Our stuff tends to be more about the big, giant, morally ambiguous character moments, and less about 'bag it and send it to the lab,' because we don't know anything about that.''

  • According to a recent study, the number of people watching CSI: Miami plus the number of times Horatio chases after a plane in his Hummer, equals a great number of people running to the dealership to get themselves the brand new car. In other words, product placement has greater effect that previously anticipated. "After the first Smokey and the Bandit, Pontiac sold more Firebirds than you can shake a stick at," said Roger Cameron. "Now you see the Hummers on CSI. It definitely has an effect."

  • If you like CSI, you might enjoy the new Fox show Futon Critic, the show, "It's basically C.S.I done 'Mulder and Scully'-style, with Brennan being the 'anti-social, follow the evidence' one and Booth being the 'outgoing, go-with-your-gut' one"

  • The British National TV Award nominations have been announced, and CSI is up against a great number of other shows for the Most Popular Drama category. The award ceremony will take place in October. In the meantime, the public can vote on their favorite candidates.

  • If you can't get enough of Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) the new (and fan-sties hosted) Emily Procter Online might have what you're looking for. The website has screen caps, pictures, videos, the actress's biography, filmography and more.

  • Miami Style has been updated with screen caps of the season one episode "Slaughterhouse."

  • Students are taking this summer vacation to enroll on various CSI-related programs, such as "Digging Up The Truth" in Florida. The program was funded by the Department of Education, and caters to students in elementary, middle, high school, and even college.
