CSI: New York will reunite star Gary Sinise with an old colleague when Terry Kinney takes the role of the District Attorney in the new CSI spinoff.

The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Kinney has been cast in the recurring role of the yet unnamed District Attorney. Kinney played the character of Tim McManus on HBO's series about life in prison, Oz. Additionally, Kinney's resume includes roles in The Laramie Project, Save the Last Dance, The House of Mirth, Sleepers, Devil in a Blue Dress and The Firm.

This won't be the first time Sinise and Kinney share the screen. Both had parts in the 1997 television movie George Wallace, in which Sinise played the title character. They also both starred in the television movie adaptation of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, which aired in 1991.

Both Sinise and Kinney hail from Illinois, and were key figures in Chicago theater in the 70s. Sinise, Kinney, and Jeff Perry joined together in 1975 to found the Steppenwolf Theater Company. Sinise and Kinney served as artistic co-directors in the theater's early years.
