The CSI actors know to stay away from Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) when they need to get serious in front of the camera.

"I'm the practical joker on the set. I crack jokes all the time," Dourdan explained to The Voice. "If someone has a close-up I make sure I'm the one to crack them up. The directors get mad as hell but I always try to have fun. You can't go to work for five or six years in the same job and not have fun, life is too short."

Dourdan is having a different kind of fun this season with his character, who spontaneously got married some time during the summer. Dourdan admits to being surprised when he learned about Warrick's insta-marriage. "When I got the script and they told me 'you're married now', I said 'whoa... great' as it came as a big surprise."

The actor also said he was a little hesitant about playing a married man, but quickly fell into the role. "Being married was something of an art to play," he said. "I had never done a romantic scene on the show before because our personal on-screen lives are normally kept in the background. The crew was all stuffed into the room watching the filming to see what I was going to do, because I'm usually seen as the tough guy in the show and they've never seen me being romantic. I had to step to it and play it."

Fans have only seen Warrick's wife once, and her presence raises all kinds of questions regarding the flirtatious banter that's always existed between Warrick and Catherine Willows [Marg Helgenberger]. Torn between two lovers, that's just another one of the things that makes Warrick so complex. "It's no good trying to put him in a box because he's constantly changing. It's a wonderful role to play because Warrick's got depth and I'm still discovering him."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
