Despite the start of the February sweeps, CBS will not be airing new episodes of all three CSI shows this week, as the network will be broadcasting the Grammy Awards on Wednesday instead of CSI: New York. But today and Thursday fans will be able to enjoy fresh episodes of both CSI: Miami and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Tonight at 10:00pm, CBS will be airing the new Miami episode "Skeletons." Here's how the network described the episode in its official press release:

When a body is uncovered during a beach volleyball tournament, the evidence leads Horatio to Walter Resden, who is now targeting one of his past victims -- someone Horatio has sworn to protect. Now, Horatio must deduce why Resden has returned and find a way to stop him for good. Meanwhile, Delko and Natalia's relationship takes an unexpected turn when she thinks that she may be pregnant.

"Skeletons" was directed by Karen Gaviola, who this season also worked on "Nailed." The episode was written by Corey Miller, who also already worked on last week's "Fade Out," and by Barry O'Brien, who most recently wrote "The Score."

The following actors will be making a guest appearance on "Skeletons:"

  • Brendan Fehr as Dan Cooper
  • Candace Kroslak as Nicole
  • Naja Hill as Kellie
  • Mike Faiola as Billy
  • Misty-May Treanor as Player #1
  • Kerri Walsh as Player #2
  • Joel West as Officer Jessop
  • Alexandra Lydon as Jennifer Wilson
  • Shelli Bergh as Paula Muro
  • Atom Gorelick as Young Walter Resden
  • Haley Ramm as Young Jennifer Wilson
  • Damian Young as Walter Resden
  • Vince Grant as John Massry
  • Steve Ryan as Morris Yates
  • Josh Jacobson as Young John Massry
  • Boti Bliss as Valera
  • Kyle Kaplan as Foster Kid #1
  • Tod Nakamura as Officer #1

Besides recurring actors Brendan Fehr, Joel West, Alexandra Lydon, Shelli Bergh, Haley Ramm, Damian Young, Boti Bliss and Tod Nakamura, only two other actors have a previous connection to the CSI franchise. Those are Steve Ryan, who played Sergeant Adams this season in the original CSI episode "A Bullet Runs Through It, Part One;" and Josh Jacobson, who played an unnamed boy in the original CSI's third-season episode "Play With Fire."

On Thursday at 9:00pm, CBS will be airing "Pirates of the Third Reich," featuring the return of Lady Heather. This is what you can expect from the episode:

When the body of a young woman is found half-buried in the desert outside of Vegas, Grissom teams up with Lady Heather to discover the cause of the victim's unusual death. The mystery deepens when the CSIs discover that the woman was participating in a clinical study where doctors performed experiments for sleep deprivation.

This episode was directed by Richard Lewis, who was also responsible for this year's season premiere, "Bodies In Motion." The screenwriter for this episode is Jerry Stahl, who created the Lady Heather character for "Slaves Of Las Vegas."

Below you can find the guest cast list for "Pirates of the Third Reich:"

  • David Berman as David Phillips
  • Louise Lombard as Sophia Curtis
  • Wallace Langham as Hodges
  • Liz Vassey as Wendy Simms
  • Jim Cody Williams as Happy Jack
  • Michael Patrick McGill as Ruben Caster
  • Jeff Sugarman as Dr. Mulligan
  • Melinda Clarke as Lady Heather
  • Kevin Crowley as Jacob Wolfowitz
  • Kevin Crowley as Johann Sneller
  • Annie Burgstede as Zoe Kessler
  • Suzanne Reed as Receptionist
  • Joseph Patrick Kelly as Office Metcalf
  • Tony Amendola as Professor Rambar

David Berman, Louise Lombard, Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Jeff Sugarman, Melinda Clarke, Joseph Patrick Kelly will all be playing previously established characters. Tony Amendola was seen on CSI twice before: once in the first-season episode "I-15 Murders" as a handwriting expert, and once in last year's season premiere "Viva Las Vegas" as the landlord.

The original press releases for both these episodes can be found at the Futon Critic.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
