CBS has officially announced the fall premiere dates for all of its television series, confirming that the three CSI shows will return during the third full week of September.

The first two shows CBS will debut this year are Survivor: Guatemala, kicking off on Thursday the 15th of September, while CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is still in reruns. A day later, the Eye network will be previewing its new SF series Threshold with a two-hour preview, while on Sunday it will undoubtedly do its best to promote its new fall shows during the 57th Annual Emmy Awards telecast. On Monday the 19th of September at 10:00pm, CSI: Miami fans will be able to enjoy their first episode of the season, with CBS airing the still-untitled fourth season premiere.

On that same day, CBS is planning to debut two new comedy shows. Airing at 8:30pm, following the 8th season premiere of The King Of Queens, is How I Met Your Mother, a love story told almost entirely in flashbacks from the future. At 9:30pm, CBS will air the 3rd season premiere of Two And A Half Men, followed by the first episode of the new CSI: Miami lead-in, Out Of Practice. In this sitcom, a family of physicians share the same profession but have little else in common.

On Wednesday the 21st of September at 10:00pm, CBS will be airing the CSI: New York second-season premiere "Summer In The City." CSI: New York is also getting a new lead-in: the crime drama Criminal Minds, following an elite squad of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next move before they strike again. However, Criminal Minds won't land in the Wednesday 9pm timeslot until Wednesday the 28th of September, as first CBS will be giving it a special launch on the 22nd of September.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will return for its sixth season at 9:00pm on Thursday the 22nd of September, presumably with the episode "Bodies In Motion." Normally, CSI would be followed by Without A Trace, but this year CBS has decided to debut that show a week later, so it can first use the post-CSI timeslot to give Criminal Minds a boost. Finally, CSI fans will be able to get another treat on Friday the 23rd of September, as on that day CBS will launch its new drama show Ghost Whisper, starring Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson).

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
