  • Cult Time Magazine's 115th issue features an interview with Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) in which she discussed her feelings about the direction her character is headed. The actress also talked about last summer's firings and revealed some minor spoilers about her character's relationship with other CSIs, particularly newly promoted Greg Sanders.

  • Real-life criminalists and CSI consultant Daniel Holstein, the inspiration behind the character of Gil Grissom, is trying to inspire UNLV students to join the crime scene investigation field. Holstein also revealed he doesn't mind CSI's fast-paced investigations: "It's based on real cases, but they have to turn it and twist it a little bit because they have to solve their cases in 44 minutes, where it might take us years. And, a lot of our time is spent in the lab or searching for the needle in a haystack. Can you imagine going three hours looking for one print? That would be boring on television. It is for entertainment purposes, and that's the way you have to look at it."

  • Jeff Mariotte, known for his CSI and CSI: Miami comics Thicker Than Blood and Smoking Gun, has been nominated for a Stoker Award by the Horror Writers Association. The writer was recognized for his novel Witch Season: Fall.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
