Sources today revealed the first plot information for "Dispo Day", the eighteenth episode of CSI: Miami's freshman season.

'Dispo day' refers to the day on which drug evidence is disposed of after it has been processed. In the episode, the evidence is being transported through town to the incinerator in the guise of a funeral procession. Accompanying the hearse along the route, Horatio and Speedle are taken by surprise when a station wagon collides with the hearse, from which armed men emerge to ambush the procession. In the ensuing shoot-out between the robbers and police officers, Horatio rushes to help the station wagon's driver - Lynn Martin - while Speedle is badly bruised by a projectile.

Jack Seeger from the Internal Affairs Bureau believes someone on the inside tipped off the robbers about the plan to dispose of the evidence, and orders all the CSIs to undergo polygraph tests, with the exception of Horatio. While the tests are taking place, Horatio interrogates Lynn Martin after a bullet hole in the back of the driver's seat in her car reveals that she was specifically targeted during the ambush. Lynn confesses she was told she would be paid ten thousand dollars if she collided with the hearse.

Meanwhile, the CSIs come under pressure during their lie-detector sessions, with Speedle in particular refusing to play ball with the interrogator. Things go from bad to worse when Calliegh discovers some disturbing evidence about the gun Speedle used during the ambush...
