Slowing down isn't an option.

CSI: New York's Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) has a lot on his plate. He spent many months campaigning for former Harvard classmate President-Elect Barack Obama and served as a member of the Obama for America National Finance Committee. He led the United Negro College Fund's HBCU Empower Me Tour, established the nonprofit MANifest Your Destiny foundation and launched a social network called ForRealSolutions.com. He also finds time to serve as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and he's planning to write his third book. All of this is in addition to his work on New York.

"Being on a great show that is part of, arguably, one of the most successful franchises in television history is fantastic. It offers a platform of reaching a large amount of audience," Harper explained to EURweb. However, the show takes up a great deal of time and doesn't allow him to do many other acting projects. "There's a real blessing to doing the show and it's helped for this campaign and it's also great for the books that I've written," Harper continued. "So there's a wonderful ancillary benefit to the show in that way, but as far as for pure career stuff and doing big movies and things like that, it's very difficult."

Despite the busy schedule, the actor is still finding time to write another book. The first two titles he published, Letters to a Young Brother: MANifest Your Destiny and Letters to a Young Sister: DeFINE Your Destiny, were geared toward young people, but this new book will be for an older audience. "It's a book on relationships," Harper explained. "It's a challenging book to say the least. It's kind of about how a guy like me, (is) working through and trying to figure out how this whole relationship stuff works. I'm excited about it. It's for adults. It's definitely a departure from the first two books that were for young people. I'm going to have to put across the book in big red letters 'For Adults Only.' Hopefully, it's going to be a pretty provocative book because I want to promote a conversation."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
