A beautiful day at the marina. A sexy woman is lying on a buoy attracting the stares of all the red-blooded males in the vicinity. Suddenly, a shark appears from nowhere and begins tearing her apart. The stage is set for CSI: Miami's "Bait".

According to CSI Files sources, the episode will revolve around a private investigative agency hired by wives to spy on their husbands. The victim of the shark attack, Cindy Castillo, was one of the "hooks" — attractive women employed by the investigative agency to hit on the husbands at bars and see if they take the bait.

But how did Cindy end up as shark food? It turns out it wasn't the shark that killed her — she had been shot in a room at a local hotel and managed to limp down to the docks in an attempt to escape her assailant.

The first suspect is Carl Pardue, one of the husbands whom Cindy had helped to expose. After his infidelity was revealed to his wife, Cindy had to take out a restraining order against Carl to prevent him taking his revenge. But although Carl had the motive and even vandalised Cindy's car, he isn't the one that killed her.

In pursuing this case, Horatio Caine will have to put aside his preconceptions and follow the evidence. But the case isn't always clear-cut, especially when one of his colleagues is discovered to have recently been in Cindy's company...

"Bait" is currently scheduled to air November 24 on CBS.
