Jorja Fox On Sara Sidle: 'I Feel We're The Same Person'

Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) admitted recently she's walked on her character's shoes for so long, their two worlds have melted into one.

"The longer I do it, I feel we're the same person," she told UK's Channel Five. "I feel she's an alter ego. We both have that OCD-type focus and, like her, I can socially be a bit off sometimes. I love playing her. I have dreams and hopes for her. But she's much smarter than I am and I could never be a CSI."

The actress admitted she's still fascinated by the popularity of the show. CSI has been able to mantain its spot as television's most watched drama as it's just as popular overseas. "It's amazing. We play in all but four countries in the planet and it's hard to process that," she said. "I just go about my life and sometimes people say hello, and that's a really nice feeling. It's a big compliment."

Being on the air so long has fans worried about the writers eventually running out of ideas, but Fox isn't concerned so long as art imitates life. "It does get harder and scarier to do that," she admitted. "But the sad thing is there's no shortage of material for the show. So many shows are based on real life. But I do think this season has some of the best scripts we have ever done."

The season also ended with the consummation of the Grissom-Sara storyline, which had been brewing for years. "It is one of my favourite storylines," she said. "I think for these two characters who live amid all this darkness, it's nice that there’s this stream of light. It's kind of a nice idea."
