'Miami' DVD Specifications Announced

Scheduled to hit stores on June 29, the 7-disc package will contain all 24 episodes of the show's freshman year, as well as the pilot episode, "Cross-Jurisdictions", according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. All episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.

CSI: Miami's first-season includes "Golden Parachute", which featured the arrival of Kim Delaney's short-lived Megan Donner; the necklace bomb instalment, "Losing Face"; Sofia Milos's (Yelina Salas) debut in "Simple Man"; and "Freaks and Tweaks", in which Horatio meets a suspect who knew his dead brother. The season is capped off by the 75-minute finale, "Body Count".

Selected episodes will have commentaries by various members of the production team, including the writers and producers. The boxed set also contains several featurettes, entitled "CSI: Miami Uncovered", "Creating CSI: Miami", "Production of Handling Evidence", "The Autopsy Theatre Tour" and "The Gun Lab Tour".

The above information only applies to the Region 1 (North America) release. The Region 2 (Europe) version will hit stores in two parts, with the first half of season one scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on June 7. The Region 2 set can currently be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
