Hello World!

Six years ago, the character Lucy Knight was killed on ER. The music that was playing during that scene was Battleflag by Lo Fidelity Allstars.

The theme song of House is called Teardrop by Massive Attack.

The song played at the beginning and end of "Room Service" was Mad World by Gary Jules. It's a cover of the Tears for Fear song of the same name. You can find it in the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Again. Mad World. Gary Jules. Donnie Darko. Soundtrack. Mad World. Mad World. Gary Jules. Mad. World.

Now someone please get it out of my head.

CSI Files Two Years Ago

Here's what was hot back in October of 2003:

  • Xander Berkeley To Play New Sheriff
Xander Berkeley, better known as Sheriff Atwater on CSI, joined the show two years ago. The character was first seen in the episode "Invisible Evidence" and nearly became a giant hole in the episode "Grissom vs The Volcano."

  • No 'Hard Time' For 'CSI: Miami' In Overnights
The CSI: Miami episode "Hard Time" earned a 13.2 rating/20 share, knocking the American League's game Boston vs. Oakland out of the park.

  • 'CSI' Ratings King For Second Week Running

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.

Happy Birthday!

My girl Emily Procter is turning 37 on October 8th. For her birthday we're sending her the Donnie Darko soundtrack. Why? Mad World, by Gary Jules. Happy Birthday, Emily, from everyone at CSI Files!

Television Listings

  • Tonight at 10:00pm, CBS will show the brand new episode of CSI: Miami "Prey." Here's what’s happening in the third episode of the season:

"The CSIs must investigate the dark side of Miami's nightclub scene when a teenage tourist goes missing. Sara Jennings was on her way to the Bahamas via Miami for a class trip when a wild night of partying, drinking and sex got out of control. Now, the CSIs must discover who she was with and what happened that night in order to find her. Meanwhile, Horatio's past in New York City resurfaces when an old unsolved case lands on his desk."

  • CSI: New York premieres on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. with the episode "Grand Murder At Central Station." CBS describes the season premiere as follows:

"While investigating the murder of a plastic surgeon, Mac and Hawkes discover that suspects abound since the doctor had pending lawsuits with patients who sued him for millions. Meanwhile, Stella and Danny delve into the world of cuddle parties while tracking the killer of a blind woman found on a Manhattan rooftop. Stella enlists the help of a sculptor to aid her with a facial reconstruction project that will help nab the suspect. Also, Aiden grows frustrated when she's unable to find evidence to finally send a repeat rapist to jail. And, the CSIs lose a member of the team."

  • Lastly, on Thursday at 9:00pm, CSI’s second episode "Bite Me" is set to air. This is what you can expect from it:

"The CSI team investigates a wife's suspicious death on a flight of stairs. The overwhelming amount of blood evidence in the case leads Grissom and his team to discover several revealing secrets within this "typical" American marriage -- secrets of adultery, blackmail and a biting fetish that may have ultimately contributed to the housewife's death."

In addition to the above episodes on CBS, cable channel SpikeTV will of course continue its daily CSI repeats.
