Melinda Clarke Confirms Lady Heather Plans

The O.C. star Melinda Clarke last week confirmed there are plans afoot to get her to reprise her role as Lady Heather on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Amy "TV Gal" Amatangelo, columnist for Zap2It, ran into Clarke during last week's Fox press conference in Los Angeles. "[Clarke] is hoping to reprise her oh-so-fabulous role of Lady Heather on CSI next season," Amatangelo wrote. This would seem to confirm reports from last month that stated CSI showrunner Carol Mendelsohn had told a London audience she wanted to bring back Lady Heather during the sixth season.

Lady Heather first appeared in the second-season episode "Slaves Of Las Vegas," and returned a year later for the 90-minute episode "Lady Heather's Box," which implied a sexual relationship between her and William Petersen's Gil Grissom. Since then, Clarke became a regular on The O.C., which many fans thought precluded any future appearances by her on CSI, as Fox would not like one of its stars to appear on such a high-profile show on a rival network. This may also be why neither Clarke nor CBS have yet come out and provided any definite information about her return.

Speaking to Zap2It, Clarke also revealed she will soon be making a guest appearance on HBO's Entourage, a send-up of modern Hollywood. Clarke will be playing herself, following in the footsteps of celebrities such as James Cameron, Hugh Hefner and Scarlett Johansson.
