CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will soon commence production on its fourth season.

The cast and crew return from their summer hiatus this month, with filming on the season premiere slated to begin on Monday, July 14, according to the William Petersen Appreciation Page.

While there are no plot details for the season opener available at the moment, there has been talk of Greg Sanders getting out into the field more this year. According to a post on the Television Without Pity forums, actor Eric Szmanda recently appeared on the British talk show Celebrity Extra and said Greg would be training to become a CSI.

Production on CSI: Miami is also likely to get underway this month. The first episode of its sophomore season, "Blood Brothers", will reportedly deal with the death of a fashion model. Although filming starts during summer, the first episodes of CSI and CSI: Miami's new seasons will not air until late September or early October.

The original information can be found at the William Petersen Appreciation Page.
