  • Reuters reports that Monday night's Miami repeat of "Hell Night" averaged 14.8 million viewers and 5.1 rating/12 share in adults 18-49, while Medium was crowned king of the night with a new episode, averaging 15.8 million viewers. A full ratings report will be posted at the end of the week.

  • Ann Hodgman finds mob ties all the more fascinating than CSIs playing footsie. Read her full review of "Tanglewood" over at Entertainment Weekly.

  • For those of you who believe the city of New Orleans would have made a more interesting choice than New York for the second CSI spin-off, Anthony Zuiker asks you not to be discouraged. "If there is an opportunity for a fourth show, I do believe 'CSI: New Orleans' is in the running [...]" he told the Times-Picayune.

  • Spike TV is the first television network for men and is very adamant about remaining so. According to Reality TV World Albie Hecht, president of the network, was fired for choosing programs that have greatly expanded the network's demographics, particularly towards female borders. What has caused so many women to tune into Spike TV? Reruns of CSI, of course!

  • Hill Harper (Sheldon Hawkes) will be hosting a program for the Jazz Foundation of America on BET. According to the Thug Life Army, the special will be entitled A Great Night in Harlem. The program will be repeated all through the month of February.

  • For a few shots of the CSI: New York episode "Officer Blue", the producers sought the aid of the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. Find out how at the Cornell Daily Sun.

  • Even wonder just how well art imitates life? Both the Burlington County Times and the Telegraph dwell into the similarities and differences between crime scene investigation on television and in real life.

  • Court TV has an interesting interview with police sketch artist Michael Streed about how imperative criminal portraits are to crime scene investigation, and how underrepresented they are on shows like CSI.

  • Sinisefans has reported that Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) will be presenting an award at the Grammys, which are set to air on February 13th on CBS.

  • Crime scene investigation may be the new black. According to the Beaver County Times, CSI has greatly increased the level of interest in forensics science, particularly for women.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
