  • Personality Parade recently addressed the fact that the ladies of the CSI franchise often show off their cleavage during episodes. "You don't really think we dress ourselves, do you?" asked CSI: Miami star Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne). Ultimately, what the characters wear is up to the producers and the wardrobe staff who, according to Walter Scott, seem to subscribe to the idea that "the deeper the cleavage, the higher the ratings."

Thanks to Toots for bringing this fun bit of news to our attention.

  • The way that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation handled the exit of Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) was praiseworthy according to Mercury News, which made a list of the 25 best things about television in 2007. CSI came in at number 20.

  • The Border, a new Canadian series starring Sofia Milos (CSI: Miami's Yelina Salas), is going to premiere on Monday, January 7. The actress discussed the show's appeal with The Canadian Press:

It's a character-based series, not just high action-packed drama - it's both. The audience will be very engaged because of the broad issues it covers like terrorism, money-laundering, organ trafficking. But even though it's entertainment, the show really raises awareness on certain human rights issues and asks some really difficult questions.

  • In the CSI franchise, the CSI team is involved with the entire investigation. According to Brad McLaughlin, the forensic scientist supervisor of the Pennsylvania State crime lab, this is not the case in real life. "That's kind of a common misconception," he told the Erie Times News. "We try to stay as detached as we can from the case. We just do our scientific thing -- either the evidence is there or it's not."

  • BostonNow made a list of the "Top 10 TV Entertainers of 2007", and singer Will Dailey made the cut. Dailey's music was featured on a number of shows last year, and fans of CSI: New York will recognize him from his appearance in "Time's Up" earlier this season. Dailey is scheduled to perform at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, Massachusetts on January 12.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
