'Jackpot' image - copyright CBSCBS recently released the promo for this week's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, entitled "Jackpot".

In the episode, Grissom is dispatched to the small town of Jackpot, Nevada, to investigate a head discovered by a dog. But the CSI's investigation doesn't go according to plan when all the locals refuse to talk and his evidence kit is stolen.

The 30-second trailer is available for download online from the official CBS web site. For those of you with slower connections, here's a transcript:

CBS THURSDAY ON AN ALL-NEW CSI

[Establishing shot of country Nevada.]
[Grissom's humvee drives through across the plains.]
[The humvee pulls into the small country town of Jackpot, Nevada.]

A BIZARRE PIECE OF EVIDENCE

[Grissom steps out of his car.]
[The camera tracks towards a box sitting on a table in the morgue.]
[Inside the Jackpot bar, the bartender calls over to the sheriff.]
Bartender: "This guy's here about the head."
[Grissom stands at the bar, slightly bemused.]

TAKES CSI TO A SMALL TOWN

[Grissom walks out of a shop with an envelope.]
[Text: 'Small Town']
[Jackpot's sheriff talks to Grissom in the bar.]
Sheriff: "Things must be pretty slow in Vegas to get one of you guys here so quick."
[Grissom just stares at the sheriff.]

WITH BIG SECRETS

[Text: 'Big Secrets']
[Grissom hikes up a hill in the wilderness.]
[Grissom and the town coroner peer at a buried body.]
[Close-up of the lead CSI as he sees the corpse.]
Grissom: "This wasn't just murder...it was torture."

IT'S PUT CSI ON A CASE SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT SOLVED

[Grissom approaches a barn.]
[He peers through a crack in the door.]
[The sheriff talks to Grissom in the bar.]
Sheriff: "Are you saying you have a local suspect?"
[Grissom and the sheriff enter the barn.]
[A man in dark glasses walks through an office.]
[Grissom approaches his car, which has been broken into.]
Grissom: (off-screen) "My field kit was stolen."
[The CSI looks up from his work.]
[Text: 'TV's Most-Watched Show']
[An angry local confronts Grissom.]
Angry Local: "If you can get on back home, I think you should do that."
[Grissom walks through the woods.]
[The lead CSI gets up from a couch, his gun at the ready.]
Grissom: (off-screen) "There's not just a body out there, there's also a killer."
[A rock is thrown through a window; Grissom ducks.]

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
