This Wednesday, I'll be getting on an airplane and will spend the next 9 days in the fabulous Las Vegas, where my goal is simply to avoid marrying a complete stranger in an Elvis chapel. And yet strangely, I feel compelled to do so. Come on, imagine the look on everyone's faces. Goal #2: not to jump on Gary Dourdan's arms if I run into him.
So I won't be around for a while. I could say I'll be thinking of all of you, but who am I kidding?

Producers: We Don't Aim To Shock Despite CSI's affinity for showing the public corpses in all stages of putrefaction, the producers admitted it is not something they do for attention. "When we're in the writer's room, we really aren't thinking: Can we shock?" executive producer Ann Donahue told the Hartford Courant. "We really aren't. We're thinking: What's possible? What interests us? What has irony and pathos?"
Zuiker: 'Huge Evolution' Coming For Gil Grissom Anthony Zuiker promised the 4th season of CSI would see some personal development for the characters. "We're also exploring Nick Stokes inability to stay objective and impersonal with the survivors of victims, getting a little more emotionally involved when he sees the survivors ailing over somebody who's dead."

Today's Television Listings
Tonight, CBS will air a repeat of the CSI: Miami episode, "Pirated". Here's a brief description:
"Horatio suspects modern-day pirates are at large when six bodies are found floating near the Miami coast. Horatio suspects that a ship was hijacked with some of the crew killed and then dumped overboard. Evidence suggests that other crew members might have escaped on a life raft. Using radar and GPS technology, the CSIs find survivors but their stories don't match. Now, Horatio and the team must learn what really happened out in the ocean as they find themselves investigating the seamy underbelly of Miami’s militias and arms dealers."
On Wednesday night at 10/9c, CBS will air CSI: New York's"Blood, Sweat & Tears". Here's a preview:
"When a 16-year-old contortionist is found dead and stuffed into a small box washed ashore on a Coney Island beach, Mac and Stella question the victim’s family and their rivals -- trapeze artists who compete for attention as the circus’ main act. Meanwhile, a large pool of blood in a New York apartment leads Danny and Det. Flack to a dead woman disposed of in the building’s trash chute."
Another one of CSI's season 5 episodes will air on Thursday night at 9/8c. Here's a description of "4 x 4":
"A wild day in Las Vegas has the CSIs simultaneously investigating four fatalities. Catherine and Warrick look into the death of an auto convention model found murdered in a camper on display, as Nick examines the death of a boy found beaten and burned on a bus bench outside a mini-mall. Across town, the investigation into a car accident leads Grissom to suspect the driver was aiming at his victim, and Greg and Sara discover that toxic mold has eaten away at a body builder from the inside out."
In addition, Spike TV will be repeating CSI episodes at least twice daily for the rest of the week. A full listing of their upcoming episodes can be found here at SpikeTV.com.
