Horatio Caine will reportedly be in danger of causing a major diplomatic incident in the first episode of CSI: Miami's sophomore season.

Currently entitled "Blood Brothers", the season premiere will revolve around the death of a supermodel, Tess. After an argument with a man, she storms out of the hotel where a fashion show is being held, only to be run over by a car as it drives off. While examining the crime scene, Horatio and Alexx quickly establish that her death wasn't just a simple hit and run — it was premeditated murder.

Tess had attended a party that night, hosted by her agent Scott Mandeville. Fortunately for the CSIs, the bash was broadcast on MTV, and Calleigh is able to spot Tess socialising with a handsome twenty-something man in the footage. He is Clavo Cruz, a rich playboy from a South American country known as Baracas, who also happens to own many of Miami's trendiest clubs and restaurants.

Although the CSIs work up enough evidence to link Clavo to the scene of the crime, an unforseen complication develops. He and his brother, Narcisco, have diplomatic immunity in America because their father is the "General for Life" of Baracas. With the State Department ordering him not to upset their good relations with Baracas, Horatio can't arrest Clavo without causing a diplomatic incident...

"Blood Brothers" will reportedly introduce two new minor characters, who could possibly become recurring as the season progresses. The first is Rick Stetler, the Medical Examiner's Investigator, who has the hots for Yelina Salas, which causes some friction with Horatio. The second is Valera, the CSIs' new DNA technician, who begins to feel the pressure after Calleigh constantly checks up on her work.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.

CSI: Miami's second season will likely debut in late September.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
