Hello World!

Puerto Rico has run out of money. Literally. We're broke, broke, broke. So broke all the schools are closed, government employees are home, and the entire island is freaking out and striking and generally being annoying. This is so embarrassing. How the hell do you run out of money? I bet even Haiti is laughing at us. Haiti, for Christ sake!

I guess this means we're taking donations. 10 bucks. 5 bucks. Goats. Anything you got. Failing that, I'd be willing to settle for a warm place to sleep for the next year. I'm not white, so I guess Bush doesn't want me in the US, how about Canada? Eh? England? I love British people. Germany? Können Sie mir helfen? I'm very adaptable but require impressive amount of chocolate for sustenance. I also make killer Mojitos. Come on.

Meanwhile, here's a pretty picture of a rock:

CSI Files Two Years Ago

Here's what was hot in the fandom two years ago.

  • Petersen Is No 'Science Guy'
"I was a terrible science guy. In fact, I got out of high school with two D minuses," said William Petersen (Gil Grissom) in an interview. "Now, to be sort of the poster boy for lab science, is pretty interesting."

  • Sinise Glad To Be Heading Up New 'CSI' Show
Said Gary Sinise of snatching the Mac Taylor role: "I'm glad it's me. [I]t's a popular series, it's a good series, and I thought it had a chance to be successful, so I'm jumping in,"

  • 'CSI' Nabs Saturn Award

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.

This Week On TV

  • Tonight at 10:00pm, CSI: Miami's episode "Open Water" will air on CBS. Here's how the network described it:

"The CSIs find that the long list of suspects include a victim's wife who he met and married just seven days prior, her daughter, the ship's magician and the corrupt captain. However, the suspect list is narrowed down when the team discovers that a large sum of money was stolen from the safe in a victim's stateroom. Meanwhile, Horatio takes his relationship with Marisol to the next level."

  • On Wednesday night at 10pm, CBS will air the new CSI: New York episode "Stealing Home." Here's a brief synopsis:

"Mac and Stella are shocked when, while at a crime scene, two grief-stricken women approach them claiming to be married to the victim. The women explain they were both knowingly in a committed threesome relationship with the deceased. Meanwhile, when a young woman dressed as a mermaid is found tangled in the kelp off a ferry dock, Danny and Lindsay investigate her murder and discover that her last known whereabouts were at a child's birthday party. The case affects Lindsay the most when she realizes the victim is from her home state."

  • CSI is brand new on Thursday night at 9pm with the episode "Time Of Your Death." Here's how the network described it:

"As the CSIs work the case, they uncover evidence that reveals the victim may have been an unwitting participant in his own fantasy, which was created in order for him to live out the weekend of his dreams. However, when fantasy clashed with reality, things went horribly awry."

In addition to the above episodes on CBS, cable channel SpikeTV will of course continue its daily CSI repeats.
