Former ‘Top Model’ Hopeful Joins The ‘CSI’ Family For A Day

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI creator Anthony Zuiker was a judge on America’s Next Top Model earlier this month. (You can watch the full episode here.) The contestants auditioned for a role in an upcoming episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Bre Scullark won the guest spot. “I can’t talk about it yet, but CSI is like the biggest franchise in the world as far as TV series go,” Scullark told Buddy TV. “I’m just happy to be part of that family even if it’s just for a day!”

Zuiker’s ‘Dig’ To Screen At NewFilmmakersLA

NewFilmmakersLA will host a screening of Dig November 18. The short film is executive produced by Anthony E. Zuiker and directed by Zuiker’s Director of Digital Media, Joshua Caldwell, who stepped behind the camera this month for the third and final installment of the Level 26 cyber-bridges. The screening will be held at Sunset Gower Studios, which is located at 1438 N. Gower St. Hollywood, CA 90028.

Zuiker Judges ‘America’s Next Top Model’

CSI creator Anthony Zuiker will be a guest judge on tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model. The All-Stars will audition alongside Robert David Hall (Dr Al Robbins) for a role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in front of Zuiker, and he will join the judges’ panel for the weekly elimination. Zuiker Sells FBI Drama To ABC

CSI Files previously reported that CSI creator Anthony Zuiker signed a first-look deal with ABC. According to Deadline.com, Zuiker has sold his first project to the network. Chameleon is an FBI drama which centers around an undercover agent who is a master of disguise. Zuiker will serve as executive producer alongside Andrea Berloff, who will pen the pilot script.

Interview: Marlee Matlin

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation scored big in the casting department earlier this year when Marlee Matlin appeared on the show for a guest appearance. Appearing in “The Two Mrs. Grissoms” as a former romantic partner to one of the show’s beloved characters, Gil Grissom, the Julia Holden actress had many memorable moments while working on the set. In an exclusive interview with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders, the Academy Award winner reflects upon her time on TV’s number one watched show.

Zuiker Heads To ABC

CSI creator Anthony Zuiker has left CBS, and he signed a three-year, first-look deal with ABC. “I just felt that to do something different, I had to go on different journey and possibly take the option of leaving,” he told Deadline.com. Zuiker will create projects with Brillstein Entertainment Partners for ABC Studios, although he will keep his executive producer credit on all three CSI series.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation co-executive producer Dustin Lee Abraham shared some older set pictures on Twitter. The first image is from the set of season eight’s “Drops’ Out” and features Abraham alongside George Eads (Nick Stokes), actor and technical consultant Larry Mitchell (Officer Mitchell) and guest star Method Man. The next three pictures are from the season eight finale “For Gedda” and feature Eads as well as Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) and former actors William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown). Interview: Elizabeth Devine

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has a new addition to its writing staff this year but she is no stranger to the flagship series. Elizabeth Devine is back in the writers’ room working on season twelve of the show that introduced her to the world of writing. After leaving the original CSI in 2004, Devine headed to CSI: Miami where she spent numerous seasons developing stories for the sun-kissed series, and even penning the 2005 CSI: Miami/CSI: New York crossover “Manhattan Manhunt.” After leaving her full-time duties at Miami in 2007, Devine returned once more to CSI in its tenth season to work on the episode “Lost & Found” with Corinne Marrinan. Devine, a former Los Angeles County criminalist, is on staff this season working as a consulting-producer. Taking time out of her very busy schedule, Devine granted CSI Files’ Shane Saunders an interview about her return to the series.

Learn More About Zuiker’s Journey In ‘Mr CSI’

In 2008, CSI creator Anthony Zuiker signed a deal with Harper Collins to write his memoirs, and the book is due out later this year. Mr CSI: How a Vegas Dreamer Made a Killing in Hollywood, One Body at a Time is scheduled for a November 22 release, and you can pre-order it from Amazon.com and other online retailers.

TNT Develops Scripted Series From Zuiker & Mendelsohn

Last December, we reported that CSI creator Anthony Zuiker had several series in development, including Enigma. This modern-day Sherlock Holmes series, which features mystery-of-the-week stories, is currently being developed for TNT. Also in development for TNT is Scent of the Missing, which centers around a search-and-rescue officer and her Labrador retriever partner. The show is based on a book of the same name, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation executive producer Carol Mendelsohn will serve as an EP on the project.
