Following the news that Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will not be returning to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for season eleven, executive producer Carol Mendelsohn has revealed that Jorja Fox‘s (Sara Sidle) future on the show is still a mystery at this point. Several cast members’ contracts are under negotiation, and there is no guarantee that Fox will return. However, Mendelsohn is hopeful. “I know what our creative plans are for Sara Sidle, but Jorja and I have not sat down to really talk about next season,” the showrunner told TVGuide.com. “It’s really, truly up in the air.”

Yesterday, CSI Files reported that Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) would not be back for the eleventh season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. According to TVGuide.com, a rep from CBS has confirmed Vassey’s exit. Meanwhile, several other CSI stars are in contract negotiations, and leading man Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) has already signed on for another season with the show.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) won’t be returning to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the fall. CBS has not confirmed Vassey’s exit, but an insider told EW, “The show is going in a different creative direction in its 11th season.”
